Why so many RVers flock to Quartzite, Arizona, in January of each year? Because of the Quartzite Annual Sports, Vacation and RV Show, the largest gathering of fans a camper in the world. For one week, this little desert Burg dream becomes a thriving metropolis of motor home enthusiasts and others who want to escape the cold. It is a social event with great activities and all sorts of fun. Anyone will tell you that is a paradise for lovers of RV!
This event is started 25 years ago, and only gets bigger every year. In the 2008 show last January, there were over 150,000 people enjoying the party.
The event takes place on 20 acres of quartzite, with a 70,000 square foot indoor area where you can get some shade. Inside, you'll find booths with all kinds of goods for sale and food and live entertainment every day of the week.
Although it bigger every year, the year past there were about 300 sites of motorhomes available to show attendees. They are fully equipped with electricity, water and sewerage services. Besides these centers are over 100 places available outside the main exhibition area, and lots of good RV parks, campsites and motels in the general area.
However, it is always best to stay in the center of this city, "RV", if you can. Parking your motor home there is absolutely free, just ask to advance and reserve your spot.
Aside from all of products and live entertainment, the show is known for its craft fair and car show. The art show is in a special space within the main store of handicrafts from all over the country, including the Rock and Gem Show, where you can see the metal across the country. The craft shows are unique, do-it-yourself crafts, so you can learn something while enjoying the show! Participants are invited to contribute their own handicrafts in the series, and you can get an application by contacting the promoters.
Held annually in recent fair days, the Rock and Roll Classic Car Show is one of the great events quartzite. People bring their old cars new models around the country to show, and there much to see. You'll see custom cars, classics, hot rods, muscle cars and other beauties of the past. There is a fee to enter the car show, but well worth the penalty, and the group and family rates are available.
Quartzite is located in southwestern Arizona law against the California border, putting in center of the best in American motor home. It is on Highway 10 west of Phoenix and just south of Lake Havasu. To book a place on the show next year download and print the application form found on the website are the quartzite RV.
