If you ask what is the most widely used transport in China is that you are forgiven, to answer "The bike". During my adolescence, when China was discussed in the classroom we would see masses of bicyclists clogging the streets on his bicycle. Like food in China is nothing like Chinese food transport is no longer blocked, either bike.
The growth of China's expanding economy is creating enormous wealth and the price of a car is no longer out of reach ordinary metropolitan citizens. Their demand for the production of CO2 gas in a few months has to be stripped to the U.S. and now are the biggest polluters of the planet.
As Al Gore, Live Earth is coming to an end, it is obvious that many Americans are willing to take responsibility for much of the worlds of decadence and are committed money for the cause and take steps to reduce their own pollution.
Growth in Europe was common knowledge that use lower carbon-based fuel per person than our American colleagues. It was common belief that an American would prefer to go in your motor vehicle to walk the short distance to the nearest store. To generalize is often dangerous and I must confess, at least in Europe, this seems to have become general practice.
The growing health problems of the 21st century include obesity and poor health through some exercise. It is ironic to listen to Al Gore, a very good diplomat for the U.S., warning us to keep our motor vehicle for our (((| A) bike. What a strange world we live.
Equally strange is to observe the change in China. Since we are generalizing, imagine the ordinary Chinese person on your mind, not local Chinese, but the people you see on TV who live there now. Do you see anyone unhealthy and obesity or someone healthy and well cared for? You may see the latter. How to get rid of their bikes for the family's caravan is likely to change?
During years I avoided riding my bike. Roads are for cars and too dangerous to take bikes on them (in addition to the cyclists in the UK it is not necessary insurance, pay no taxes and no need to use any safety equipment).
A growing number of special cycle paths have been built in cities that lead directly from the suburbs into the heart of the city. These can be used to save time and money and stay healthy.
I maintain a folding bike in my trunk car park outside the city. This saves money on parking meters, but eliminates the frustration of locating a parking place free or rediscover a fine caliper or wheel well.
I prefer to find a park and the city has one Rideif. I take the bike on the bus, shooting around the city and then return journey, or if it is wet to use the bus to return.
This is one way that cycling is safe and if Europe, U.S. and hope that China really want to cut the pollution that will have to work hard to convince non-cycling community benefits.
America can not be leading the fight against pollution, but that does not mean I do not care. Twenty years ago I went to Eugene Oregon hoilday and the local government had done a bicycle heaven. Money is spent to persuade locals to leave their cars at home. Cycle paths were built and although the cars were obviously were not criticized mot encouraged and a sunny Sunday afternoon, more people cycling in their cars.
If the inconvenience of time you or you live in a neighborhood rather not ride bikes, go to your local sports authority and try one of the many new works performed in the home fitness products. I have a silent endurance of Troy in the fourth guest in view of a TV. 30 minutes each day in the comfort of my own home and costs less than $ 200, lower than the price of a regular bike.
Whatever your goal, better health, better bicycle noble planet is a good option, not only can improve your health, not only reducing pollution but to get anywhere for free as well.
